Yeah, that's the plug I though was the drain plug. It was seized real bad. Do you reckon ordering a replacement and then going monkey at it with a breaker bar is the way? Or is there a more elegant solution? Not sure if I'd want to use heat. Do you have a picture of that by any chance?

Not sure about 20€ per emblem. They were about 50 each new. I'll keep it in mind once I remove them for repainting. Then I'd be alright giving you the older ones for free. The spare mount for the emblems I can do if you decide to go without.

Thanks for all the help btw. So far this forum has been a godsend for info and advice. Learn from other peoples mistakes as Otto von Bismarck said.

I'm not exactly an expert on more elegant ways to get bolts loose. I swear by the three Vs: Våld, Värme och WD40. I can't see how penetrating oil would do anything for an oil plug, and as you don't want to use heat that just leaves violence.

By "older ones", do you mean the ones off tori? Free sounds good to me, and I'm not exactly in a hurry. I could even pay you a small sum or trade the spare wheel holder if I decide to ditch it. We'll see once you get to repainting.

Sounds good.

Although I think the cardinal Vs are:
Våld, Vilja, Vaselin

If you have the time, I'd like to see where the drain plug as well if you have a photo.

Hard to see in these photos unfortunately, but here is the location of the drain plug (RH side of the transmission):

And here is the fill plug (LH side of the transmission):

Make sure you can get the fill plug loose before you mess with the drain plug, there's nothing worse than draining all the fluid out of your transmission only to find out you can't get new fluid in!
