Hey everyone,

I've read multiple threads on this issue but still no answer for me.

My cruiser was going quite smoothly at highway speeds of 55-70 mph until just recently. At a certain speeds/gear/rpm ratios an intense vibration begins and last until you make it upshift or down by hitting the throttle or letting off until it shift out of that gear. The vibration is through the seat/center console more than the steering wheel, but is not a rotational vibration that gets faster with increased speed. Its like somebody switched on a massage chair under me until I slow or speed up.

I initially thought transmission, but its not consistently at one gear, every gear is smooth at some point. I jacked it up and rattled the drive train and no one part seemed to have any play.

Any ideas would be appreciated!!

Thank you!

Sounds like a tire issue. I had the same issue, it would only vibrate at certain speeds. Some of the tire weights may have come off causing the vibration. HTH

Wheel weight fly off? Re-grease the U-joints.

Check these:

1 Is your car accidentally in 4WD
2 Tire weights fell off
3 U Joints bad
4 Loose bolts on driveshaft
5 Bad trunnion bearings up front

Since it's throttle-related, I'd look hard at the ujoints for lack of grease, binding, wear, etc.

I will get wheels rebalanced then if that doesn't fix it replace the U joints. I'll post once I get it dialed. Thanks for the input!
