89-94 Pickup Console Cup Holder

We have been making cup holders for the 2nd Gen 4Runners for close to 10 years and have recently been asked if we will make similar ones for the same years pickup. The storage console on the SR5 pickup does not match the 4Runner since the 4Runner has a very shallow compartment due to the rear heater underneath. The pickup storage section is also a little longer and a bit more narrow so our 4Runner cup holder simply did not work correctly. Here are some pics of the new cup holder below. Our 4Runner double cup holder that mounts to the side of the shifter bezel area WILL work on the SR5 pickup. Here are a couple links to the product. We will get them up on ebay later today.

This is the double cup holder that mounts to the shifter bezel (if you have one) that works on the pickup. We don't have anything for the base pickup that just has the rubber boots that mount directly to the floor with no bezel.

Time for an update. We finally got the pickup cup holder insert designed. This is specific to the pickup and does not fit in the 4Runner console. I will post the 4Runner version in the next post for comparison. We just started to launch our product line on Walmart this week so I will post a link to that as well as our etsy shop if anyone is interested in this. For comparison here is the 4Runner insert for the similar space on the console. We currently have two versions for the 4Runner with each having a different focus on function. I have been told that some 4Runners have the pickup console and some pickups have the 4Runner console. I have not see that myself and I personally think it's just folks swapping out consoles from pick-a-part for personal preference but I could be wrong.

I've never gotten my hands on a decent shaped center console.

This was my solution for my 1st Gen 4 runner. Could apply to 2nd

Shifter from a 90s model taco. Moved my switches to the dash above radio. Ammo can that locks (soft top). I suck at sewing but the pad is plywood with some foam and fabric stapled to it. Sewing would yield proper corners and I've not gotten the hang of that yet. Metal tuffy cup holders with will hold a 20 oz yeti tumbler.

The shifter needed to be bent forward to not hit the tumblers, might not be ideal for shorter drivers as my transmission is already shifted forward a few inches further from stock
