I am getting rid of my '88 White FJ62. The car is originally from Arizona, and I bought it in 2008. Since then, I've put some aftermarket specs on it and used it as my everyday driver for the past 6+ years. It is no longer practical for me for work and family, so I want someone else to use and enjoy it.

Price: $3,500
Miles: 245,000

Aftermarket specs/other highlights:
- Black powder-coated Mickey-Thompson rims
- Original paint and striping
- Newly re-built transmission (2013) with life-time warranty
- Bose speakers throughout (custom casing on driver and passenger side)
- Alpine CDA-9857 stereo with iPod/iPhone connection (in center console)
- Alpine MRP-350 pre-amp
- Dual 12-inch JL Audio subwoofers in custom housing

Cosmetic issues:
- Spot rusting, mainly on tailgate
- Cosmetic damage on front left of car from hitting a wall. No functional issues. Lights have been replaced. Bumper is bent on both ends.
- Minimal wear and tear inside from daily use (worn
- Crack on dash (driver side)
- Cracked taillight casings
- Casing missing from passenger seat lever

Functional issues:
- Needs new tires (all 4)
- Front brakes need to be replaced
- Steering pump and gear box need replacement
- Needs work for CO emissions
- Front u-joints need replacement
- AC compressor is locked up
- Minor other tweaks that might be needed to make trail ready

The bones of the car are in good shape, but she definitely needs some work to be trial ready again. Message me with interest in looking.

*ARB Rack is not included in sale; all other aftermarket specs are

FJ cruiser, fj62, trail ready, off-road, crawler, toyota, landcruiser, for sale

How do you know the front u-joints need to be replaced? Has it been driven in 4wd everyday since it was new?

I took it to a mechanic to get a list of potential items that need fixing, and he said they had too much play in them. No, the car does not stay in 4wd, only when needed on the roads.

Then those u-joints are rarely used and should be excellent condition ;)
