John, :hmm: since it looks like the 37" are going to do nothing but give you trouble I have some 30" all-terrains on aluminum rims I'll just even swap so you can still use the 4Runner .Just let me know when is a good time to swap :D

Took over the shop and worked on my buddy's 85 pickup some more, we have already swapped out the entire wiring harness, add gray carpet , steamed cleaned the interior, installed AC and charged, and installed the $100 lift kit from pull apart 4runner. Still need to repair the brakes, rebuild the front axle, install some shocks, and maybe some drive shaft mods.

 can't see pictures while at work. Sounds like the truck is turning out nice, just can't see it.

Looking good John just in time to break it in for the Sicily Island ride :D

I see there is a small block in there but what springs are those? Did you just mix and match with the packs?

Rebuilt the front axle thanks to the damage from SI, had to replace three of the four knuckle bearings. Cleaned up both knuckles, drained the gear oil to pull the third just in case, replaced both inner axle seals, installed used axle shafts w/ birfields into chewed up ball sockets, and reassembled. The steering problem seems to be caused by the broken birfields. Just need to fill knuckles with grease, the diff gear oil, and install new caliper.

No wasting time for you bud, looking good :)

So are you going to get the high $$ berfield joint? You know, do it right the first time, your don`t do it at all

Longfields $700 bucks at one time. Looks like the broken Birfields have allready cleared out the knuckles for you.

Just have to run what I got for now, maybe I will win enough in Vegas to pay for the upgrades.

I will have my fingers cross for you John when you go to Vegas ;)

Part I
This weeks Pull-A-Part project is turning a good 86 blue dash pad into a replacement for my cracked 88 gray pad. Found this great dash pad at Pull a Part for only $6.37, then got some Charcoal Gray vinyl/ fabric paint for $7.00. Cleaned up the donor pad with some soap and water blew off the water with the compressor hose and allowed the oven like shop to dry out the rest. Applied some adhesive promoter, and then a thin coat of gray, allowing a few minutes between coats I added a couple more coats of gray.
Part II
Stay tuned for install of the tipp'n meter, removal/ install of old and new pads.
