Too Tall, I'm really surprised to hear that. I've been watching any and all car sales portals (CraigsList, Autotrader, BuySell, etc) for over six months, and I've never seen an HJ60 for even $7000 CAN that wasn't a complete pile of junk. (Now we don't know much about this particular Cruiser, it could be in good shape or poor shape, who knows...) As a matter of fact, if you look at Canadian Autotrader listings, it's almost impossible to find one under $12,000 CAN. I'd even given up looking for an HJ60 and resigned myself to getting a BJ60 for that reason. If you think I can continue to keep my eyes out for an HJ60 (or a BJ for that matter) in acceptable condition for under $7000 CAN, then that makes me pretty pleased, but my experience tells me that's not likely. Maybe there's just been a dry spell lately.

I don't think its a temp. dry spell. with the way these rigs rust they are bound to run out. You would have to look over that truck pretty closely. I don't think its too overpriced. it does have a rebuilt motor (if he has receipts.) and a clean interior.

I just talked to the guy and he is the original owner! It needs frame work and he says there a wierd sound in the engine......

just spoke to the guy on the phone (super-nice btw), and he says the $2000 needed is for the rear frame. frame is in bad shape, hence the new gas tank. it's not a right-hand-drive either (last year they brought the HJ's into canada was 87).

Oh yeah, he said he posted it for sale here years ago but changed his mind and decided to hold on to it.
