i picked up some 864 springs for the rear of my cruiser.
My truck is completely stock and I carry about 300 pounds in the cargo area.
Has anyone had any experience with running these springs alone?
Is it gonna stinkbug?
Will my torsion bars move enough to remove any of the stinkbug, if that's the case?
Thanks.

864 is a heavy spring for a stock rig. That's usually something you'd run if bumper'd, armored and expedition. if you uae constantly carrying 300lbs 2860 spring would be better. if you run these you wont be able to lift the front high enough.

So, I should tell my wife that you said I need a rear bumper?
Mainly because removing the spare from underneath the truck will make it more aerodynamic, and the $100 I spent in the springs won't be wasted.

I like the way you think. I bought a VESA mount to wall-mount my 55" LCD TV, only to find out the tv wasn't compliant. Easy solution, go buy a 70" VESA compliant TV for 10x the cost of a different mount...

It's called "logic".

I bought the Slee heavy lift for my rig while the bumpers were on back order.

When I would drive under load of 45mph or more, I got pretty substantial vibration throughout the entire vehicle.

I was told from Christo that it is likely the U-joints vibrating due to not having enough weight on the vehicle.

So, if the spring you have are the same or similar, I am not sure I would run them....unless of course you buy a rear bumper ;)

It will be stink bug, and ride like $hit. I had the 864 with a slee rear bumper with spare, and factory spare.....so similar loading as yours

I've decided to measure empty then loaded, then build some spacers. Maybe go with an 860, as previously recommended.
