Thanks guys.... for the feedback. All ideas and options are worth talking about. The ps hoses are connected to the right ports on the gear. I'll probably go on and get the reman gear... and we'll swap it out in a few weeks unless things change. I'll pose back up as things change. I have a rebuilt gear as a spare now... but I'm doubtful of the quality.

Since you have -6 AN fittings a pressure gauge is easy to put inline. I'd use one of these: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/rus-670340/overview/

With this gauge screwed into it: http://www.mcmaster.com/#3850k2/=rpmk5f

~$36 plus the rides to test pump output. Being an aluminum fitting I won't leave it in place permanently, but it will work fine for years of simple testing.

I agree....I could setup a test rig...without too much pain. I might round up some parts to make up a test rig later on.

FALSE Alarm...or at least for now.

Got truck back today. P/S is working the best it has ever had...in the entire time I've owned this thing. I'm now running a high pressure pump from psc setup with a remote resivoir. Working great.

Other facts verfied. FJ Cruiser Black steel 17 inch wheels will work on the front axle, without the need for a spacer or mod of any type... they are on my truck right now... With the new tires I have (35*12.5*17) the cruiser wheels but the tire to close to the inside wheel well at the rear...major scrub. Looks like a 1.5 spacer will be needed to make the cruiser wheels work. The other issue is I think the FJ cruiser wheel is hub centric and the 60 is setup for lug centric. I see in another post where a guy ran hub centric spacers on the rear 60 axle to get the cruiser wheels to work. FYI

what i can tell you is that whomever is rebuilding these PS pumps in the aftermarket must really suck. I've had napa, GM, advance auto..etc rebuilt pumps on my lc and literally this PSC pump is about # 4 or 5 in the replacement sequence.

No whine, no issues so far with the PSC pump.
