This has been a mother of a story so far, and I know I’m not the only one stoked to see this 60 headed to its new home/old Dad (no offense). I second the request for lots of epic Euro adventure photos.

@zeeklafreek Congrats buddy! Can’t wait to see photos of it in Deutschland!

Well, check that. Again.
Turns out there's no middle console in the truck and no end caps for the rear bumper. I'm only just finding out this information.
It will not pass the German inspection without these so, we either have to cancel the today drop off date or let it ship (if Dieter gives the OK) and source the needed parts and have them shipped to Germany. Argh.
So, if any of y'all have a blue/gray 60 console or some stock rear bumper end caps laying around, I'll pay a premium.
Thanks.

Glad to help Christian. I have these things. Just tell Daniel to give me a call. I believe yours is a 86 which would be the first year of the taller console. Don’t believe I have one with working cup holders. They tend to break at the mounting points.

Centre console in Spain. Not in good condition but surely enough to pass...

Amazeballs. Yes, it's an '86. I assume the end caps fit all years. No worries on the cup holders, I ordered those arm rests that also have them. I'll let Danny know.
I can pay you directly or via Danny, just let me know. It takes a mud village, indeed. 😀

I am from Sri Lanka! Hence my mud handle! Hope you had a good time!

Will it pass with the rear hatch cover in ABS?

Yes, I was waiting for you to catch up on this thread and see that I am in your homeland. This is my 75th country to visit and after only 5 days here, it's already in the top 5. 😀😃
We just arrived in Ella and luckily booked a place high above the hustle and bustle.
We spent a few days in Sigiriya and boy are my legs tired.
Maybe will post some pics of the wide variety of off-road trucks running around. I see how easily you could pick up some wrenching skills around here.

It is a beautiful place indeed. If corruption was not part of the fabric, I would be there. It will be visits for me only. Got to the tea estates in Nuara Elliya and hit Nilavali beach! Galle is also very nice!

Quick question, I'm sourcing replacement front seat belts (mine are completely beat and slack) and Partsouq don't have any in stock. But I found some at Amayama (almost $200 a pop). Have any of you bought parts from them before?

Thanks much.

I use Amayama all the time, they are the best company i've come across for ordering out of Japan.

The one problem is that their catalogue is woefully out of date. I highly doubt the seat belts are in production any more. Submit your order (select 'Other' for shipping method if it is asking for a payment at the time of ordering) with a note to run an availability request. But I almost guarantee you will not get them.

So start looking for used options.

When I put rear shoulder belts for kids in backseat of my 83 FJ 60, they have front sets also. I ordered from SeatbeltPlanet quality and color are great, price is OK if you want new over used.

Have yours refreshed by seatbelt planet

Wow, great stuff, thanks much.
#2 for Seat Belt Planet. Replaced my front belts with SBP belts this year. Great fit, look right, actually work.
