85 FJ60 Popping out of 4WD??? (1 Viewer)

Hello all...

I had a very fustrating drive home last night :-[. I've been waiting all year to see some snow and finally got some last night. I locked the hubs and jumped in the Cruiser, shifted it into H4 and off I went. Started going down the road and the damn thing kept popping out of 4 wheel unless I held the shifter in place with my hand. What's that all about ???? Help! We expect more snow in the next few days.

Loose motor mounts. Do a search, this comes up a lot.

Also check to see if the boot is putting stress on the shifter. That was the problem with my 60.
