'85 BJ60 ( w/3B engine ) in need of a new radiator.

All the local shops I call, are scratching their heads as to what radiator ( brand / model ) to use - I even had one guy try and tell me that anything about the right size will work.

Can anyone give me a clue as the proper radiator to use and where to find it - I would realy like to avoid SOR if I can.

Posting in the diesel section is probably a good idea. What are the dimensions of your radiator?

Best I can say is that I believe it to be OEM, other than that I can't reach all of it to be sure of it's dimentions.

I agree with Chad. Perhaps a post on the diesel section might be
more fruitful.

Here are the OEM part #'s... That might help as a start.

11/84 - 10/85:

16400-58180
or
16400-58190 w/ AC

Different part # for the FJ60, same year...

This company makes it: ::> SABAH RADIATORS <::

Their part # (for AC model) is SR-01-2039

Now you have to find who sells it....

Do you still have the old radiator?

I had mine rebuilt at a local shop.

They ungraded it too, with 4 new core center section.

It's not even out of the Cruiser yet.


Last I heard, the only local custom build shop went out of business about 2-3 yrs ago .

if you have your home area near your name its easier to suggest someone, there are a hand full of the cruiser crowd in calgary i could suggest getting a hold of but i dont know if you are in japan or australia or....
also a profile of your vehicle by your signature with the mods done to it, can help others give more appropriate suggestions depending on your circumstance.

Well if my cruiser had any mods, I would probably brag about them but it doesn't - everything about the cruiser and engine was posted in the subject line.- it's an 85 BJ60 with a 3B engine.

As to where I live, all you had to do was ask - southern Colorado.
