I have for sale a 1985 Toyota 4runner. It has a fuel injected 4cyl. and a straight front axle, which is perfect for rock crawling. It it in good shape and has 260k on the body but has a newer engine with 80K (or close) miles. It has new Michelin tires and a Yakima bike rack. The interior floors are rubber and easy to clean out so it could be used as a hunting truck easily. The top comes off and there is a roll bar in the rear. I just had all the fluids and gear lubes changed out. All grease fittings and bearings have been repacked and serviced. I have recently (last week) had alot of preventative maintenace done to this truck because I was planning on hunting and 4 wheeling out of it and didn't want reliability to be an issue. I recently purchased it as a hunting 4x4 (kindof an impulse buy) but after spending the money on this one I have found something I want more so I am letting it go. It is parked at the park n sell on south parkway if you want to take a look. Give me a call if you want to test drive.

$2,250 OBO

Nice stock Runner.........looks like the rust could be trimmed away and have yourself a nice budget DD/wheeler.
The automatic is nice for a DD.......I get tired of shifting.....
I have 26 Red Lights to go thru on 12 miles of distance to work..
Automatics have become appreciated......
Too bad it does not have AC..........the :princess: states that AC is one absolute in whatever I end up with.....

Good luck with the sale......

Well my $.02 would be to keep the 4 Runner if you like it and can afford to feed that many vehicles.
'85 4 runners are sought after and you will have a hard time replacing it for your asking price......esp if you like the automatic tranny........again just my opinion.

I hope to get one some day, but I really need something a bit bigger for the next few years.......
Good luck with it.

If it doesn't sell I am going to get some fender flares and cut out the rust so then it will be a no rust rare 4runner. Then when tax season comes around I will probably put it back up for sale for a little more. I think the used car market is just dead right now because of cash for clunkers and the economy.

To be honest I would love to see this go to a high school kid that can have something really cool to build, learn a little, and still have a dependable ride.

Car sales are slow in general.

I agree, this would be a great vehicle for a high school kid to drive and learn to wrench on :wrench:. !!!

The trick is to find a HS kid with $$$.

Have you tried parking it near the local HS esp. when school is out. ??

Put a FS sign in it and park it in the front lot of the school (when school lets out) and just sit in it like you are waiting for someone.....I bet a bunch of kids will be hanging all over it and asking you questions......
esp. if you have the fender flares on it !!!!!

Good Luck.....

You are just too far :frown:

I've been looking up here for a gen 1, but not a decent '85 :frown:

Best of luck with the sale...but I'd keep it, and I'd buy some new metal fenders for it...do it properly and you'll get your money back if you need to sell later on
