Well, it's time for us to let Ruby go. It's my wife's DD, taxi for hauling the kids etc...and my "couple wheeling adventures per year" rig. Needless to say, it's time for us to move on :( to something different, as well as the fact the Ruby's gonna need some love in the next few years, or it'll be the perfect donar truck when the time comes. So remember, you're buying a future transplant, but a truck that still has some good life left in it.

So, this is sort of a feeler thread but I am serious about selling.
I don't know what it takes to import/export but I'm willing to help in any way needed.

Price: $4,500 open to reasonable offers

Located in Abbotsford, BC right on the Can/US border.

Here's the specs

May 1982 BJ60 with 3B engine, 378,XXX km (235,XXX miles)
I just had the t-case rebuilt by EBI Cruiser parts up here in Canada, there is less than 5000 km since the rebuild.
Spec Canadian truck which has a h55f tranny (5 speed) and power stearing.

The engine runs strong, I had a compression test done when I got the t-case rebuilt in Aug/11 and the test showed the following:
1st 400 psi
2nd 405 psi
3rd 375 psi
4th 400 psi
So the 3rd cylinder is a bit low but according to Steve at EBI sort of expected with a truck nearing 400K KM.
There is an oil leak but it's the side cover beneath the exhaust manifold which from what I've read here on MUD is pretty easy fix, especially if the motor is pulled. And typical drips from the breather tube.

You'll also notice in my signature line that I've turbo'd the motor. The turbo is off a Subaru WRX, read my signature line for some further details on the turbo and how it's been working out for me.
I have it set at 14psi on the waste gate, I get boost showing at 1000 rpm (only 1-2 psi), I hit 6-7 psi at 1500 rpm and I'm at 12 psi at 2000 rpm. Really is a great turbo match for the 3B, I don't get better mileage but I have more power (which I use, probably why I don't get better mileage) and local hills are no longer an issue.
I installed a 2.5" SS exhaust at the time of the turbo upgrade too.
Fuel economy is 11-12L/100km (19-21 MPG US)
Gauges are VDO, Temp, Pyro (EGT) and Boost

The body was "restored" by the previous owner about 10 years before I bought it, which was 6 years ago. The body is in very good shape for a canadian truck, but there are rust spots showing up in the usual spots like the door corners, wheel wells (but not too bad) and the rear lower gate. The upper hatch is in good shape, I picked one up from Arizona about 4 years ago.
I've been told that 6 of the body mounts are rusting, two are bad, the other 4 are on their way.
The frame: Classic canadian cruiser frame, I've patched up one side of the frame but the rest is going, it's got some life left in it but how much remains to be seen.

Interior is decent but not perfect. Classic rip in drivers seat, head liner pulled out in some spots.

Suspension is OME (heavy-heavy) 2.5" lift, as well as shocks and steering stablizer.
80 series 16" rims with about 75% tread on the 265/75/16 (32") BFG AT KO's.

Comes with the roof rack too. Not looking to sell it separatley, it's part of the package.

Here's a picture from a couple years ago. Nothing much has changed but for a bit more rust bubbles starting to show through

I'll get more pictures up next week. I heading away for a short winter vacation this weekend.

Reply here or PM. Please serious enquires only, thanks

Sweet truck, from another Abbotsford cruiser fan ;-)

Nice BJ. Despite the rust you mention, this is a good deal, already have the turbo, the engine will still likely go more than another 100k, and a rebuilt h55f! I would buy it if I didnt have one!
Also this would be a easy import, nothing to it.
Best wishes with the sale!
