82 2H Alternator, Anybody know where I can get one?

I have an 82 HJ45 with the 2H engine in it. I am in need of an alternator for it. Any ideas or know where I can find one???? Any help would be awesome~! Thanks.....

I found one for my 1990 HDJ18 (JDM) at part's source. I took in the old one and found someone nice enough to bring me a few different Toyota models to compare bracketry and connectors, eventually the one that I found was for a 1991 trecell. I hooked it up and it worked perfect....
I had the same problem trying to find a alternator in the USA for my 3B & 13B-T. After a long hard search I found a Alternator from a 84-85 Toyota pick-up DLX with a 2.4L diesel it's the same exact alternator. The only thing you need to do is replace the new alternator pulley with the pulley from your old alternator and everything else plugs in.
I took a look at the 3B & 2H manuals and Toyota LC micro fiche they look the same. Take a look at the Napa Auto Parts and Rock Auto Parts web-sites.
Part numbers are as follows:
84-85 Toyota Pick-up DLX
2.4L Diesel
12 volt system
55-60 amp
Napa Auto Parts, does not come with vacuum pump
#14675 or Ray #138292
Rock Auto Parts, comes with vacuum pump
Beck/Arnley #1860609
new O ring for mounting vacuum pump is 55mm x 2mm you can get this O ring at a hydraulic shop.

Have you tried a new voltage regulator and brushes?
This solves most problems unless it's been burned up.

this information is GREAT! It should be added to the parts cross-reference sticky.
Using this information I could see that the alternator is only about $130 USD with a $50 core charge through Napa.
O'reilly's also has the alternator without the vacuum for 101 + 50 for the core.
I am amazed because I thought we needed to buy the alternator outside of the USA and it was BIG DOLLARS.

On the Napa alternators I went with the Premium Alternators. These have free replacement warranty as long as you keep your invoice.

I know you posted a while ago now, but I'm just looking at getting an alternator out of an older toyota pickup truck with the 2.4L to use on my BJ60 with the 3B engine. The wrecker has no idea what to charge for the alternator, and neither do I, so do you know what it's worth, or what you paid for yours? Also, I'm just checking, but the alternator from the 2.4l should fit right on my 3B with only the pulley swap to do?

Hey John, do you know where I could get a voltage reg for this? Alternator has been rebuilt because the bearings were bad, now the vacuum pump needs new "fins" because one is broken inside and makes an irritating noise. New alternator, only getting about 12.4/idle to the battery, so must be regulator......Any help????/ Thanks...
