I really don't want to let my troopy go, but I'm building a shop that I'm three quarters of the way done with that I need to get finished. I want it to go to someone that will keep it stock and not molest it. It is originally out of Saudi Arabia. It has factory roof bows, 16" split wheels, brand new tires. It does run and drive, but could use some tune up work, and could also use body mounts and spring bushings. Body is overall very clean. The only rust that needs any work is the passenger side floor just inside door sill where some Saudi sand collected over the years and rotted it, but it is easily repairable. The exterior has been repainted. It has factory 2F engine with non US carb. Overall this is a really clean platform for a stock restoration. Because it is from Saudi Arabia, it was not built with a heater or seat belts. I am located 20 miles north of salt lake city utah.
I am asking 13,000 . feel free to call me with any questions 801-540-0154.

 Jason

Oh man..... Why do you have to be located in UT? :crybaby:

Jason,

I would like to see a pic or two of the rust spot, as well as pictures of the rest of the truck. You can post here or e-mail me (motoomi@yahoo.com)

Would you also mind providing a little bit of vehicle history?

What kind of mileage does it get and also how bearable is Utah winter w/o heater in that rig?

T.I.A.

Mot :)

I don't daily drive this rig so I don't know exactly on the milage, but other cruisers with the that I have daily driven have gotten around 12 mpg. so I would assume it would get around that or slightly better since it is the non U.S.A. model without emmision controls.

As far as history goes I was told it was purchased from a hospital in dubai, but what they used it for i am not sure. The odometer reads just under 40,000 kilometers and and worked since I have owned it but I can't guarantee accuracy.

As far as not having a heater goes I have planned on finding A heater assembly from a parts rig to install you could not go without defrost in the winter around here!!

I will try to get more detailed rust pics up as soon as I can. But here are a few more anyway.

Thanks for the pics, Jason!

I (and probably others) will look forward to seeing more pics whenever you get them available!

hey troopy,
nice troopy...
I noticed one of your pics has the troopy on a flatbed, riding along PCH in sta monica. was the troopy in so cal before you bought it? no heater in so cal is fine...how'd you manage in utah...oh  nevermind, it wasn't a daily driver...
good luck on the sale

hi!
I was wondering if you had any interest in trading your soft and bows/ back doors for a hard top for your troopy plus cash? You would lose the cool factor of the softop but you might be able to keep the truck that way...
thanks either way
best
abe

At this point I prefer to keep the troopy as a whole package. The soft top and bows are what really set this one apart. Thanks for the interest though.

Yes the troopy was in So Cal before bringing it to Utah, and that pic was taken along PCH in Santa Monica right after picking it up before bringing it to Utah. Good eyes.:)

Thanks to those of you who have called or emailed me requesting more pictures. I have been really busy this last week with work and this upcoming week and will get them on here as soon as I can.

Thanks for the interest.:)

New Pictures

Ok. I finally had time during daylight to take more pictures of the troopy. I got the pictures emailed out to those of you that had requested them, so if I missed you, please let me know.

Funny, my troopy is also a factory soft top, 2F, and left hand drive and both of them are (or were, did yours leave the state?) in Utah. Congrats on the sale.
