Leaving it, unless landtank wants it gone.

Actually knowing he has already bought one of these turds and knows the cons about it, it should feed more people to jump on the wagon and get in line for his manifold....

firetruck41 you should jump on the wagon with the rest of us.... :D

Any update on when these may be available? I know that LT said he was waiting for preorders to get them cast, or was I mistaken.
I'm still in.

Sorry guys, but I am out. Picked up a supercharger over the weekend. Sorry to bump it back down to 5.

I actually bought one of those and then sold it. I personally didn't like the quality or how it placed the turbo and waste gate for our trucks. I wanted a more clean install that would manage the under hood temps better and keep the plumbing to a minimum.

One obvious problem was that they sized the pattern incorrectly for the casting. Once the holes where machined for the engine flange the outside ones where very close to the edge of the casting and one actually had that section broken off.

Also there is no machining for the EGR system and the nuts won't thread onto the studs completely so there is an issue with them backing off.

All in all I found it to be a very poorly produced part and decided to make my own.

for the record i agree. im using the manifold and it is substandard.

Rick,

Can you post this in tech to stir up more interest? Or are you waiting to be done with your build before you go hog wild promoting your manifold? Anyway, I am still in!

Best,

Dave

for the most part I and others are waiting for my build to be complete. Right now I'm working on the heat shield and bracing.

Honestly, the best deal would be a packaged one with all the other accessories to go with the manifold that you wouldn't get other wise.

I will be patient then, no sense in reinventing the wheel. Like I said before, if you are making a kit sign me up! I just wished that I could have your guy go through my motor too! I have been looking here on the west coast within a reasonable distance from me but, no real candidates yet...
Anyway, keep up the good work!:cheers:

I would be back in if a complete kit was offered as I prefer turbo. Just my thoughts...

My build will be as much off the shelf items as possible. So I envision a kit to be those items that need to be specifically designed for our trucks.

So you basically buy my kit and fill a shopping list and you are done.

May be leaning towards a Supercharge as it is a complete solution and I want the low end torque. I am on the side for now. May jump back in later if research proves that I am wrong about low end tractable power.

I think you would be better off with a Super Charger.

I love shopping for car parts! :p

I'll give this thread a bump and add my name to the list. I happen to have a T3/T4 from a motorcycle project needing a home :grinpimp: and my LC is the perfect spot for it, I think.

Since it got bumped, I have completed the heat shield design and am waiting on the first pair of them. The engine that's getting turbo'd is 98% done and the actual mounting and plumbing of it will start shortly. From there it gets installed in a truck and work continues. There are still a couple of things that need to be designed for the intercooler and it's those pieces that adds time to the build. But once done it's simply a matter of ordering everything up and having it made.

Just to re-confirm Im still in. Engine looks awesome........drool!

Cheers Peter

thanks, right now I'm basically designing all the components that are 80 specific. I see that most will want that in a package form so they vcan then add the off the self items themselves. I have no idea what the final cost will be but will keep this thread posted.

Sign me up for one. I'd like to OBA as well as FI and this appears to maybe be a solution to that. Otherwise I just think it would be a shame to waste my engine build on a supercharger.

So where ever that list was, I'm guessing it is back at 7 now. Now we just need to convince three people to buy two :D

Rick, if i sent you payment for a manifold, can you take it now and then whenever they are ready you send it? I ask because i have the money now, but i don't know if i'll have the extra laying around in say 6-8 months if this thing stays on the shelf that long waiting for enough people......
