if the manifold was to crack I believe the only way to fix it would be to replace it. The material used is ductile iron and the foundry said the ideal wall thickness is .25". I did that and it should not crack. However since the piece has yet to be installed and run it's not a proven design.

Like all my designs, if short comings are identified I'll do my best to correct them.

I will go in on two then just to get the ball rolling and have a back up if needed.

1. fzjconvert
2. lilevo - Jason
3. tiorio - Todd
4. ontheroof
5. ontheroof ( #2)
6. weigellj
7. bogart

I dont have a gas cruiser, but I would really like to see the turbo manifold take off, it looks like a really well designed and built product.
Im sure once you have a set sold and a few members post up their builds the demand will go up and youll have a lot more people wanting one.

I am interested and and have the exact same questions.

I am interested with many caveats. Here are few:
1. if a full kit is offered
2. A reliable installation process is developed, or if you offer installation services
3. It does not interfere with the second battery installed.

Meaning I am not interested in buying a manifold. I am interested in a solution.

I realize the idea of a kit is appealing to everyone. I'll be starting my build very soon and it's pretty easy to just have 10 of something made while I'm making one of them.

But the reality of the situation is that while people talk about wanting this stuff and are willing to pay for it, in the end the enthusiasm fades and the money isn't there.

For that reason, I can't afford to take the risk in putting together a kit.

You know my word is good..:)

We should discuss the 10 kits...I think these will sell.

I understand why you wouldn't put a kit together. If you had a good writeup, and a material list (maybe even sources), it would help push me towards "purchase" of the manifold, rather then just "interested". Good luck on the buildup!

My word is good too! However, I totally understand your thoughts about kits. Some people my want this turbo or that within the parameters of your manifold. At the very least I am in for manifold just say when and I'll pull the trigger. I will also be watching your build thread intently so when I am ready to start my own I will have a good foundation to work from. Thanks for all that you do for our community!

I may be wrong but, I think that is what and why Landtank started the build thread for. To aid the much less knowledgeable (like myself) in this endeavor... :hillbilly:

I'd like to get on the list for the initial 10, don't care about a kit, having a quality manifold is a damn good start.

My thoughts exactly! The only other manifold I've seen for our trucks has a slip joint between the two banks. I'm not really sure how I feel about that. Another thought, I know that Landtank has not just jumped into this. It has been a painstaking process over the last few of years to get it just right. Lastly, if I am going the throw money at my truck. I would rather spend it with a mud brother than someone overseas... Just my two cents. :grinpimp:++ trobo = :hillbilly:

how sad would it be if Rick's guy took his design and put them out on Ebay!!!

Treadstone is a reputable company. I have a treadstone manifold on my GT35R Mirage and have had 0 issues.

I might go this route. I didn't know it existed!

Sorry landtank, I can delete the link to the ebay thread.... PM me...

I would delete it, this is Landtanks thread in the vendor/merchandise section. I think it would be appropriate in the 80 series tech section, if you wanted, though. I think there are a few threads already with some mediocre feedback...

I actually bought one of those and then sold it. I personally didn't like the quality or how it placed the turbo and waste gate for our trucks. I wanted a more clean install that would manage the under hood temps better and keep the plumbing to a minimum.

One obvious problem was that they sized the pattern incorrectly for the casting. Once the holes where machined for the engine flange the outside ones where very close to the edge of the casting and one actually had that section broken off.

Also there is no machining for the EGR system and the nuts won't thread onto the studs completely so there is an issue with them backing off.

All in all I found it to be a very poorly produced part and decided to make my own.
