New here and just wanted to say Hi. I have a 96 lx450 that I just bought this last July. Already bought a used OME heavy front Med rear lift. I'll be lifting it next month when I'm done with school. Does anyone around Charlotte make sliders for the land cruiser? Also what do I have to do to join TLCA NC division? Thanks for your time and hope to wheel with you all sometime soon.

Hi Dave I am guessing from your post that you are in or near charlotte, what part?
We have a pretty good group of guys around this area. As for your slider question. To get some made around here you would have to find a good machine shop or one of the free lance people that do work like that. Jim Cirbus on here, Cirbo is his screen name, should be able to do something like that but I think he just started a new job and may no longer have the time. Drop him a line you never know. Smart choice going with custom on the sliders there is no way i'd pay the insane price that companies charge for some metal tubing attached to your rig.

Welcome Dave! Like the others mentioned, there is a great group of people associated with ONSC.

My wifes cousin had posted up that he was looking for some side work (part of the crew that built my sliders for my 80) He is up in the Triad Area, but would do a nice job!!

crawlnyota33@yahoo.com is his email, Daniel Lewis is his name

I had them weld mine to the frame, to have them make em bolt on/off is a LOT more $$$$

Daniel has done SEVERAL projects for me, mounted my ram assist and he is building a full tube buggy now for himself. Def has the skills / if you want a local wheeler / he would love the biz!

Welcome!

Sam

Hey thanks for the warm welcome! Yeah the prices on some of these sliders are just through the roof compared to jeep stuff, which is why I want them built local. Weld on is fine with me because they won't be coming off anyhow. I'll try and make some contacts shortly to get some price quotes. Also thanks for the links on joining I'll do that soon too. I don't live in Charlotte I live in Bessemer City, but know most fab shops are in Charlotte and other major cities. I'm not new to wheeling. I had a 04 rubicon that I sold to get out of debt, but the 4x4 bug has hit me again. My lx450 already has factory lockers and soon the lift
will be put on so I'm getting back to where I was when I sold the rubicon.

Looking at a ARB front bumper now, but I'll keep an eye on these.
