Christmas,

I paid 245 to a terminal in MGM about 2hrs west of ATL. Terminal fee was $45.00 or so. Not bad for 250lbs of pallet freight.

Hawker,

What's your lift/tire/accessory setup...

Trying to balance out the truck with front and rear aftermarket bumpers and the sliders

Stock lift and bumpers now, Toyo MT 255 85 16's; 33"s tires. The last picture is a little misleading. I pulled the truck up on a rise to flex it a little. So it looks lifted, but not the case. Stock Springs with about 19.5" center of hub to bottom of flair.

Got my sliders today...dang these are nice and well made!

Only hiccup is on the shipping company...I consider it pre-install field testing

Going to install this weekend

Nick,

Did you note on the bill of lading the damages to the sliders? If so we can file a claim with truck freight. Truck freight seems to have an affinity for slamming our sliders up against things while in transit no matter how we package them.

LT,

I picked them up at the depot and saw no apparent breach in the plastic and didn't find the damage until I was back at work. (30 minute rush to the depot and back to work). No structural damage and no real need for recourse. It's not something that wont happen my first trip to grey-rock or mooreS mountain. ;)

It went YRC and stayed at the depot because there's no way a truck would make it up my driveway at home.

Y'all have been nothing but awesome and even contacted me to change the shipping method to suit my needs so I'm as happy as I could be.

Although...
If y'all could get me an iron man 4x4 4" lift in the next week or so...I'd be certain to order it haha

Thanks for everything LT, these look s&$t hot and I expect them to perform just as well.

Regards

Alright, just making sure. Truck freight loves to damage our sliders and then we have jump through all sorts of hoops to get them to compensate us for the damages incurred during shipment.

Give Brandon a call and we can see what Ironman has in stock for a 4" lift. I'm glad everything is working out for you and if there is anything else please let me know.

LT,

I'll call Brandon tomorrow morning!

Thanks again!

Guys - as a note - if you're considering anything from Metal Tech and going to GSMTR, we're all sharing in the shipping. I'm in for a set of sliders already, and we're waiting until next Friday for anyone else looking to pull the trigger - so if you're going, it's a good opportunity to save some $$$ on top of the sale price for shipping.

Well, twelve days ago I was asking for pictures. Now that I pulled the trigger I suppose it's my responsibility to post.

I picked up the set from a terminal here in Tucson on Friday morning. Sliders were neatly wrapped and bolted to the pallet. Brandon at Metal Tech was awesome in helping me find a nearby terminal and describing how to deal with the whole shipping process.

Mounting the sliders took two of us. A big thanks to Hawker7 for the tips and tricks. The biggest mistake we made was mounting the passenger side. Don't forget to chase the threads in the frame mounting points BEFORE you attempt to hang the slider! Other than that sophomore move, the passenger side was easier than the driver side despite the extra weight because we didn't have to worry about brake lines.

We finished up right as Phoenix AZ hit 100 deg F for the first time this year. We found ourselves needing gloves halfway through the job just to be able to hold on to the sliders due to the heat.

I'm very happy with the product and the service. They look great and I'll get to test them out next weekend. I was initially worried about how these will look and function on a stock height vehicle. I'll let you guys be the judge, but I am pleased. I was particularly worried about the rear kick-out. As you can see in the second picture it really doesn't protrude as much as some pictures suggest.

I drove down to Metal Tech last Thursday and picked up a set, drove home and installed them. They are STOUT and fit perfectly, thanks Brandon for the excellent service ! I needed them for a run that week-end, they did the job. Rockers are still intact !

My MT sliders are almost 5 years old and have stood up very well.

Seconds after this shot, they're holding my cruiser off the rock in front while my front wheel dangles 6" in the air.
