Don’t know if it’s in this thread already, but I just learned this a week or two ago.
It turns out the third row seat hooks/clamps that secure to the loops in the floor can accidentally be in the closed/locked position when not installed. So if you install the seat it will not latch to the floor because the hook is already closed. Thankfully Toyota knew about this, and provided a piece of webbing on the bottom of the seat which, if you pull it, will unlatch the hooks. It’s probably in the owners manual somewhere but never have needed to know that information before.
