Does it have a way for straps to run through on the sides? I can see it being useful as a visor organizer as well. At least for the few of us who have visors that can support the extra weight.

So I thought about doing exactly that. There is another company doing some lame tacticool jobby but the issue I had was with the weight. Pens are one thing. Add in s knife or window punch or dial gauge or flashlight and the visor will drop. Hell, a simple bump will make the visor droop.

I would probably stick with intended purpose. It would hold my tuff duff console cover in place. Right now it uses sticker Velcro which folds into the lid and as everyone knows it desides not to stick when it gets hot.

Very nice. Personally, I like the idea of snaps, but there are industrial strength Velcro strips avail. While your at it, there could be plenty of uses/spots for pouches. Even a nice custom canvas tool pouch would be nice.;)

In Texas the industrial Velcro stuff doesn't hold. About every two or three years I give it another try but it always fails.

Yes to industrial velcro but the adhesive issue is still there due to the heat. I didn't want to chance it.

Yes these ARE intended to be mounted anywhere but the sizes are based on our trucks ;)

Yes, Ive been contacted about a dedicated 80 series tool roll.

Well you know I want one or three of your products from about six forms of communication. Either a set or just the top lid pouch, with the sturdiest snaps, holes be damned.

Yes I feel myself strangely aroused by the pics .

Oh please God let it be the products and not the hands . I'm just not into the whole :moon::rainbow: thing. Not that there's anything wrong with that...

Yeah yeah yeah, this is going to feel a lot like blatant product placement, and sure it kinda is, but since I got as far as I wanted with it the only thing left was mounting.

Three years ago I started playing around with different dividers and materials and stuff and nothing was making my shorts tight. Then last it dawned on me that I was thinking about this all wrong. My problem was organization in the center console. Everything was everywhere. My glasses were getting scratched. Tools were getting lost. Hand lotion bottles were leaking (don't ask), pens were leaking and things were always hiding. Couple that with the noise that was a constant in the center console when off-roading and I was going nuts. I finally had enough when I would have to open the center console armrest to get into the storage area below. Everything in the armrest would fall to the bottom. Ugh, annoying.

I knew of this guy in the film industry that was making some NIIIIICE pouches for various tools used the industry. Most of these pouches were going on into their 20s since he'd been doing them for so long. I contacted him, we commiserated over the state of the film industry and he took on my little projects.

These are the culmination of those efforts. I currently have two sizes, one for the upper lid and one for the lower lid. These fit the LX450 and the Land Cruiser. Now, I don't have access to an early model 80 series but I will this coming weekend to do some further fitment. I am also working on a 60 series panel as well but I'm not far enough along on that one.

When making these I had considered MOLLE but the bags and pouches are just too big and bulky and the Tacticool look was just too "in your face". I opted with what the guy had been using for 20+ years which was his stretch loop. Anyone saying it won't last long and I will laugh in their face. I have one of this gus Wiha driver pouches that I've had for seven years and its been used and abused nearly everyday on set and on location.

The panel is actually two panels. The front has a few loops to allow you to mount a few small tools. if you open the front panel by pulling on the Wits' End logo, you will have access to the back panel. Here you can put your cash, cards, passport, cell phone and hide it out of the way. The uninitiated won't know there is a second panel unless...well, you already know there is a second panel. ;)

These panels will also attach to any flat or curve surface because they are flexible. All you need is (4) heavy duty snaps which I am supplying. Which brings me to my question/issue:

How to attach these to the truck? These do require snaps so that means you have to add snaps to the truck. This requires drilling 4 tiny holes. Under the console lid is no big deal because you'll never see those holes, especially if there are snaps there. I have found some adhesive snaps at McMaster which is a thought but I don't like that idea because if it gets VERY hot inside the truck then the adhesive fails.

So this is where I am at. As soon as I get my first production piece I will post up some install photos/video and let you all see whats going on.

Oh and as you see look this over...think of the Fire Extinguisher Mount ;)

How do we get one?

How do we get one?

I'll be opening up my site as soon as these are back from the last proto run. Since I don't need to do any silkscreening or laser etching to these I can just send to the powder coater and stuff them into a box to ship. Just waiting to get it in my hands. Likely it will be next week.

There may be one or two other items in there as well that may or may not be of interest :grinpimp:

How do we get one?
