Has anybody attempted a resonable solid axle conversion to a 100 series using 80 series axles? I know Slee's Blueberry was an example, but I'm only interested in 35's at some point in the future.

I currently have both vehicles and the track dimensions are similar, but the one issue that looks problematic is the steering box. There isn't much room to work with around the 100 series motor.

Thanks,

Adam

Build yourself a 2UZFE 105...drop the 100 body on to the 80 chassis.

you can run 35's w/o a SAS. Lots of people on here run 35's

Yes, you can, but I read a lot threads about 100 series steering racks dropping like flies with the larger rubber and of course they don't flex like a solid axle.

I like the 80 series axles, 100 series engine and cabin size of the 100 series.

Just seeing if anyone has tried it. Might have to do it myself if my wife ever lets me have her hundy.
