80 Series (1HDT- Auto) EGT and Speed Issues. (1 Viewer)

Hi All,
I have very weird issue...
I have upgraded the Transmission, Turbo, and have installed a Cross Country Intercooler to my 91 80 Series hoping to get more power.
An issue I always seem to have was,
(1) EGT going up to about 600c. This happens very easily when I am travelling uphill for several KM's..
(2) When I am climbing long up hills at a but 100KMs to 120KM (especially uphill's that runs for few KMs), not only my EGT go up, but it transmission drops to 3rd gear to keep the momentum, but after that it slows down continuously.
Its very frustrating as I have traffic build up behind me and no matter how much acceleration I do, it doesn't rev up or I don't get any gear changes or speed.

Can someone give me some ideas and opinions on this matter....

Try moving this thread to the Diesel section or the 80 series section.

600C is no too hot at all. I would not worry about that. But, it sounds like your rig is low on power.

make a thread in the diesel section and we can troubleshoot with you.
