Manual transmission interchangeable 1kz and 1kd

Was wondering if anyone has tried to install a 1kd manual gearbox onto a 1kz was looking to swap a 1kz prado and n70 boxes are alot more common. Also was thinking of 1kz swapping a 2wd hilux, 2wd boxes are basically non existent for 1kz engines

In South Africa the 1Kd and 1Kz both uses the R151f box. 2wd just without the transfer.

HOWEVER, the Kd and Kz transfers does differ - front prop on one is on the left and on the other it is on the right, unfortunately I can't now rememeber which is which.
