Well, we got screwed. Offered 10 on the '96 in Greenville SC and the guy (who is in Upstate) said if no higher offers before Fri, we could come (potentially) get it. I called this AM to get the latest and he said some guy was coming from Charlotte this evening and was buying it for 10. WTF??? You would think he would call me or something, but he said he was of the thinking "first one with 10k gets it", but never alluded to that in our initial call.
Maybe it wasn't meant to be, we'll find you one for sure, just be patient....I believe it was you that said "good things come to those who are patient."
Don't sweat missing out on a $10k 80. IMHO that is ridiculous to pay for a stock one, maybe one like Greg's can fetch that much (or more).
If you're patient, you'll find one for $7k or less in very good to good shape. Mike from Fayetteville got his locked 96 LX for $4k and it was in great shape, until he wrecked it. They'll pop up............
Yeah if I was buying a cruiser for a non wheeling daily driver I would definitely focus on the 100 series...but you might have alternative motives for getting an 80 .
