Gawt damn I wanna do this!!!!!
My gramma is not doing so hot, so I've gotta head home to chicago that weekend (hopefully not sooner).

Maybe later in the fall.

Chicago: sorry to hear about Granny, hope it all works out for the best for her.

I offer the same sentiment to you Keith! Having been very close to both sets of my grandparents back in the day it isn't easy...

Thanks everyone. It's nothing imminent at this point. Hopefully it nothing, just reacting to med changes. She's been doing great up till tha last couple of weeks, so I made the decision to go home a bit early. Just in case.
Anyway... Can't wait to run the rubicon again!!!

Last night at the meeting we decided to push the dates for this run out to Sept. 2 - 4.
When I got home my :princess: reminded me that that is Labor Day weekend.

I'm not sure how this will play with family plans people might have.

There is also the potential for an extreme CF on the trail due to high traffic loads.

I am ok with labor day wknd wheeling. There is a chance that people will head for the trail on sat. since they have sunday and monday and we will be ahead of them since we start early sat morning. Maybe that is wishful thinking but I'm in for anytime if you/we want to change it. :grinpimp: I say keep it scheduled for now and see how it falls together.
Mark

We never go anywhere on long weekends as a family anyway so no problem for me as long as I can get my truck working.

Doh! I didn't catch the date either. I should be good to go that week end. It'll be a zoo up there.

VORRA is holding a 24 hour race in Fallon on Labor Day weekend, but I am probably headed in from the Loon side on Tuesday the 6th and camping overnight at Buck if any of you are still on the trail by then.

It looks like I may actually be ready in time for the trip.
My son and I will be heading up to Wentworth Springs early Friday, we'll try to stake out a couple of decent sites. Maybe the big one in the back that has room for several trucks to park.

I'll make something for dinner for everybody as long as I have a head count so I know how much to make.

His Jeep is going to sit this one out, we need to go through a few things on it first.

I was thinking something simple like chili.
Is your brother driving or riding along with you?

My brother sold his 40 so he is just riding along.
Chili sounds good. More tuba concerts coming from your tent I suppose:lol:. Should I bring some corn bread?
