We will check on if and if so, how many they have and what they allow at Kendall Mtn. facility.

thx

Hey Stan and Chris...do you know if our new camp area will have set fire rings or some sort of fire containment systems for a few group fires like we had last year? Or should people who have them, plan to bring them?

Yeah, I am probably the most excited person that is going to be there! If winning anything at the raffle happens, it will be more than icing. The cake is the trails, the icing is the people. The raffle is like a super cold beer after mowing the lawn...in the middle of August...in the south.

How about you have the cake with the icing on top then the raffle is like that nice cold chocolate Stout you have with it!!!

I'm in the process of having Mike at Bump It Offroad build a rear bumper for me. I had asked him if he was planning to attend HIH and if so could he bring it with him. He said he was and he would. But it turns out that he would need to bring it on a trailer and he is planning to head to CA after HIH. So he would need to find someone to tow his trailer back to his shop in Windsor after HIH is over. I'm feeling guilty now for asking. Mike seems like a really nice guy and his willingness to do this just so I can avoid the shipping costs or the cost of fuel for a 1,000 mile round trip from Albuquerque is really above and beyond what I could ever hope for. I'm curious if anyone who lives in the Denver area or is passing through on their way to HIH would be willing to pick up the bumper and bring it to HIH. Or, is anyone willing to tow his trailer back to his shop in Windsor after the event is over. And what sort of compensation would you need to do this?

I've been wanting to get one of these for quite a while now!
Never heard of it but now that I've read about it I want one for my outdoor patio at home.

The 100s in the Hills banner is scheduled to go up either Friday the 21st, or Monday the 24th. Be on the lookout!

With all the snow that fell this winter, the wildflowers should be incredible. Bring a camera, this will be an epic year in the mountains.

Suggest to him a small one-way U-haul trailer. Surprisingly cheap, not that I looked into it or anything...

Aright now! Life throws you some curved balls sometimes and you find yourself trying to figure out where's up and down!
Looks like I'm no longer moving back to Denver as it was planned but to hot CA desert instead!
Also depending on how understanding they are at the new company I'm starting with soon, I may or may not attend this year! Will know in the next few days.
Cheers

Anybody has a dealer recommendation for hard shell RTTs? I'm on the market since I sold the soft shell one I had, figured I'd upgrade as well!

Fwiw Freight from CO to NM on your bumper should be less than $100- do a terminal pick up to save $$

I've been eyeballing these:

Air Top – Autohome US

I looked at the iKamper SkyCamp kickstarter campaign but they seemed to be plagued with delivery problems. Glad I didn't invest.

I have the Autohome AirTop and have been very happy with it. It's a small, which covers my entire roof rack, but is somewhat cramped for two people. I also have a Cascadia Vehicle Tents Mt Shasta Extended Summit and we've been really happy with that as well. If I'm solo, I use the Autohome. If I'm bringing family or dogs, I use the CVT.

CVT is a HIH supporter and will be at HIH7. If you contact Bobby at CVT, I'm sure you could arrange to pick up your tent at the event. That could save you some nice money on shipping and camp installs are always awesome.

As far as hard top RTTs go, the first one really fits the bill! The second one, not so much:rofl:

Sorry CVT!

I rolled the dice on one off of Alibaba a couple weeks ago so can't quite recommend yet. Purchased with buyer protection so that helps me sleep just a little bit better at night. It is on a slow boat from China but if it all works out and doesn't leak then it was a smoking deal.
