Up for sale with 16' car hauler trailer for $7000, without trailer for $6500.

Street legal, but it needs an inspection. Safety only, no smog required.

It has a new Interstate battery, and I have a new (used) radiator that I'm going to install b/c the current one has a pinhole leak.

I bought this from fj40tom about 5 years ago. It has its share of rust, but those that have been on the trails with it know that it runs circles around rigs that cost three times as much. About as capable as it gets for rocks/offroad for an JF40.

Features:
stock 2F Inline-6 motor
stock carb
stock intake manifold
aftermarket 6-to-1 header
stock alternator
stock water pump
GM power steering pump
aftermarket power steering cooler
stock radiator
stock Land Cruiser 3-speed bellhousing (FJ40's came with both 3 and 4-speed transmissions, each used a different bellhousing and transfer case. The '79 came with a 4-speed, but the 3-speed transfer case is more desirable for off-road uses since it is geared lower)
GM SM420 4-speed manual transmission
Extreme Bends tranny to transfer case adapter plate
Toyota Land Cruiser 3-speed transfer case
custom front drive shaft
custom length rear drive shaft
'85 FJ60 Toyota Land Cruiser front and rear axles (the FJ60 axles are wider than the stock FJ40 axles)
All-Pro Off-road Hy-Steer steering arms
Custom Rockstomper drag link and tie rod (both are sleeved and bullet proof)
'91-98 FJ80 tie rod ends
'85 FJ60 power steering box with custom drop pitman arm
stock FJ40 front springs
FJ55 rear springs (the rear FJ55 spring packs were longer, used to stretch the wheelbase)
Detroit EZ Locker in the front
Welded side gears in the rear
'78 FJ40 fine spline 4:11 differentials ('78 was the only year that the FJ40 was offered with a fine spline 4:11 pinion, the earlier models were coarse spline <weaker> and in '79 they changed to a fine spline 3:73)
JK Customs roll cage (this cage is tied into the frame and is made from 2" DOM tubing, not the weaker HREW tubing)
JK Customs rear anti-wrap bar
2 Longfield Super Joints (these are a treated birfield <front outer axle> replacement
Custom spare tire rack with 2 fullsize spares (patches) (SS TSL/SX 38.5x14.5x15)
Metaltech Noseguard and Stinger
Warn 9000 Winch

Great rig...

It has everything I would want except a enclosed cab. The Montana winters would be a little too cold.

I'll do $6500 with the trailer or $6000 without the trailer for MUD members. Last time I'm reducing the price. PM or email me at info@1911-grips.com if you want to chat about it. Buyer responsible for pick up of the vehicle.

Price Reduced

$5500 takes this rig with the trailer. It needs a fuel pump, which I have in hand. Trailer is driveable, but rough. PM or email to discuss. I'm in Houston.

Wow. I've been tempted by this for so long. AN AWESOME PRICE!
Someone needs to jump on this!

Please tell me 66fj40x2 got this.

Hot damn!

Since I sold it to you so cheap and might be able to help you wrench on it in the future, I'd like some shots at spotter when you do take it out. Deal? :-D

Deal!

Kind a happy to get the trailer too. We'll likely donate it to our non-profit and use it for disaster relief.

Just get it to roundup and y'all can spot whoever!

Great truck for a great driver.
This needs to be a story in Toyota Trails!
Nick

Sad to see it go this morning, but I know it's in good hands and it will be used the way it deserves to be. Just glad it's still in the MUD family!
