76 series accelerator randomly stops working (1 Viewer)

Hi all
Just wondering if other owners have had a problem with the accelerator pedal stops working when driving along.
Have to stop the car turn off the ignition and re start and it starts working again?

Sounds like a throttle position sensor fault. He should be seeing a P2121 code.

Replaced it with a new genuine pedal still happening !

Sounds like a throttle position sensor fault. He should be seeing a P2121 code.

Oh well, those 2 items have been known to cause a throttle position sensor fault.

I was going to say exactly the same. I’ve had issues with the throttle pedal on my 1VD 78 with Autostrada cruise control.

A replacement pedal can be bought for under $100.

Check the wiring going in to the pedal as it’s all fly-by-wire.
