'76 FJ40 with LS1 Small Block For Sale CHANGES
Fellow Cruiserheads,
Regrettably, I am listing my '76 FJ 40 for sale. I purchased the vehicle about a year and a half ago. It is a hardtop that has never had a soft top on it. I immediatey did an engine and tranny swap. (Performed professionally) The stock 2F motor and tranny came out and in went a 2000 Camaro SS LS1 Small Block and 4L60E Automatic Tranny. Also, installed Saginaw Power Steering at the same time. Installed New 2.5" OME Lift Springs, Shackles, and Shocks. The vehicle is very beautiful with only a few nicks here and there. NO RUST! This vehicle was in Arizona its entire life until it was shipped to me late spring of last year at which point it sat in a temperature controlled shop until about a month ago once the engine swap and everything was completed. Since, it has been in my garage in Dallas taking up much needed space, time, energy, and money. I had the interior Rhino-Lined (I have before and after pictures so you can see that there wasn't any rust hidden underneath). Other minor things that have been done: New Wipers, Gaskets, Seals, Rear Side Markers, etc. It has new (5) 32" BFG All Terrain TKOs on white wagon wheels (the wheels are not new, just the tires). The thing runs great. I have put about 150 miles on it and it is unbelievably quick and responsive. I have just realised that I don't have the time, space, energy, or money to do what I want with it. I'm in Dallas and could show it to anyone seriously interested. I haven't put it on Ebay yet (last resort). I wanted to sell it to a fellow Cruiserhead preferably. This will free up some time and money to work on my 80 and get it to where I want it to be. If any interested parties would like pictures, send me an e-mail and I will get them to you. I can also help arrange shipping or delivery. Asking $20,000 OBO. Would be open to possible trade and cash for 93-97 80 series.
Also, the price is a heckuvalot less than what I have in it, but would be open to listening to offers. Thanks.
I hadn't disclosed up above that the transfer case is in need of a rebuild. Didn't want to leave anything out. Thanks.
Thanks,
Jeff
