Can this be removed or otherwise accessed without removing the transmission tunnel cover.
I have some very crusty wiring, and reverse light is not working.

NO ,

you either deal with it from below

or

remove the transmission service cover


this is why there is a removable cover in the first place for service needs

Thanks, that will be my plan to remove the cover, give me a chance to clean things up under there.
