Quick one- 1976 FJ55 sat while doing some interior work. Fired up, pulled it out of the shop and ran it around the block (a couple miles). Purred like a kitten.

Jumped in it to move it and now won’t run.

Before I get too serious, looking for all you 2F experts to point me in the right direction. So far I have checked:

-battery voltage is good
-clean fuel at the carb
-plugs are new, wires attached
-air cleaner is new
-fuses are all good.

Starter turns the motor but it won’t catch and run. It’s pretty much factory so where should I start?

Should clarify- jumped in to move it 18 hours later and now it’s not wanting to run. Fuel is 7/16” level in the carb.

Go twist on the distributor assembly, your timing might have slipped if the hold isn't tight.
Use some starter fluid right down the bore of the carb - if it doesn't run its a spark issue.
Loose wire to coil, bad dizzy cap/rotor bug... Clean the contacts in the fuse box and actually test the fuse, it may only look good.
