75 fj 40 landcruiser cheaper again, $3400
my cruiser is up for sale. I said I wouldn't sell it but I changed my mind. Long story short, I don't want a v8 as my daily driver anymore. The FJ40 passed a Vehicle Inspection last August.
the truck: spoa 35 bfg at's, 350 toy 4spd, smurfs (the nutshell version)
new motor (not rebuiilt), chev 350 target master motor , less than 15 000kms. 2 bolt main, performance distributor, 4 barrel quadrajet. Re cored rad with Taurus fan to keep cool ( runs at 190') new exaust, recent alt, starter and battery.
spring over axle conversion, cut and turned front axle, running 5' caster, welded steering arm crossover conversion with saginaw power steering box conversion. smurfed birfields. drum brakes. new flex hoses on front. new rancho rs5000 shocks, cb , s-10 shoulder belts in front seats, stock 4 speed trans and t case, stock drive shafts, front has been clearanced. rear axle has new wheel cyclinders and shoes, park brake has new shoes. extended vents for both axles. full size spare.
spare parts: trans and t case, complete rear axle with welded 3rd member, drive shafts (one front, one rear) one rear corner glass, crappy half doors, a few other bits.
the body has had a lot of work done to it but still could use more work. I re did much of the floor and some of the body mounts. has checker plate rear fenders (like so many do), Right now the truck has a few wirring issues that I am slowly working out.
not looking for trades. my plan is to build up my 93 runner, spoa, 22 re swap and remove rear roof.
