I think I eft up. Thought id do a nice thing for my truck and took the engine in for a rebuild after 50 years, well that might have been a mistake. Researched builders in the area and visited a few, the one I decided on had just done a couple of F engines so “ they know what to do”. Build has been stalled by cam bearings, apparently they needed replacing. Now the new bearings come in and are smaller, seems like no big deal, install and line bore to size, nope. We don’t have that. Are you kidding me? We’re in silicone valley and we can’t find a shop that does this? Google searches go in circles, I must be asking the wrong questions. It’s been months and the bad part is, it ran when I took it out. Leaky and a little smoke probability would have gone another 50 years. Any Bay Area suggestions?

Also check with Yoda1Performance in Riverbank, ask for Nic. He is their resident 1f/2f expert. They might have something around the shop for you.
