I've got a 72 daily runner on the block with Goodwrench SBC, 5 speed w/ granny low (nv4500), fj60 front axel conversion, GM power steering, Later fj55 brake booster and master cyl, dual batt setup. Custom hard-wood dash, gauges and switches. Its alpine green with white lid, retrofitted with retractable shoulder belts front and back, has custom 3/8" thick steel bumpers with heavy duty tow receiver and warn winch. Wearing 31" BFG AT on 15" black Nascar/ crawler rims, add-a-leaf/shackle lift.
This truck looks ready for anything. Body looks pretty good but buyer should know that it needs rust abatement or repair at lower fenders, rockers, and rear QP. Also rear body mounts are rotten (no one was more shocked than me!) and Drip rails are missing some sections (damaged by PO's rack - no structural damage). Floors pretty solid with some pinholes. Yes, the rear window works. Have purchased but not installed new windshield rubber, new tail gate rubber, and NOS rear view mirrors.
Recently installed New 2.5" exhaust true to stock specifications with headers, New front disks and pads, new engine vibration isolators, intake manifold gasket, spark wires and cap, air filter, gas filter, (4) retractable shoulder belts, and refinished floor panels with rustoleum. Have jeep fold and tumble seat that was to be 3rd row.
Believe me, I don't want to sell and was hoping it wouldn't come to this. In fact, this just about kills me. This has been my daily driver for the last 3 years and the most reliable and useful vehicle I have ever owned. I had high hopes for it. But, this is the hand dealt me: Its me or the pig. Even though this truck can easily be run as is forever with only regular maintanance, I don't have the time to put into my project anymore. Its time to move on.
Asking 5k, but will consider reasonable offers. Located Santa Cruz, CA.
