I have been advised I should be asking approx $38,000 USD.

I am by no means an expert, especially compared to most on this forum, but that certainly sounds like a competitive price. I’ve seen at least three in the ‘95-‘97 range go for between $38,000 and $42,000. Granted, those prices were after having landed in the U.S. with all the necessary maintenance having been done, but they also had easily twice the mileage as yours.
