Posting it for sale again. Almost sold it but held on since the rear end needed work. So now with a rebuilt diff and new bearings,its ready for a road trip - although the wife will probably complain it's noisy, stinky, and uncomfortable without a sports bra....
Anyway, sad but time to move it on.
Location: Santa Cruz
Price: listed at 6,500 but reasonable offers?

My kid and I are looking for a project to work on for the next year and a half. She turns 16 then. How low can you go $$. We are living in Aromas right now and can look at it whenever. The price is the big thing she doesn't have alot to spend and is working to have money for a vehicle.

I should mention - Price is $5,500.
Here are some more pictures of the rig for your viewing pleasure - as it sits today.
Should I be posting this on the main classified section too?
The panels from Bobm would go along way on this!

This is a daily driver, btw, ready to roll. Here are some of the details:
Chevy 350 V8 is strong, 5 speed operates smooth, FJ60 front axle and power disk breaks, GM (saginaw) power steering conversion makes it easy to drive. Custom front bumper. 2" tow receiver. Bench seats with retracting shoulder belts. Recently spent over $2k on new replacement carb (quadrate from National), tune up and engine work, new starter, and transfer case, rear axle rebuild, reconditioned original radiator. No leaks. It can handle highway speeds around 80 no problem. Does not require smog certificate (in CA).

More info:
* Rear axle rebuilt including bearings, differential, and brakes. (have replacement cylinders for the drums from SOR)
* Radiator reconditioned, sealed, and painted by professional shop. It has never overheated.
* auxiliary oil cooler recently replaced.
* Heater and blower work. I have the rear heater too, but not installed.
* Dual battery tray; set up for a dual battery system (there is only one battery in it right now)
* GM Goodwrench crate engine installed using Advanced Adapter's conversion. Engine mounts replaced around 6 years ago and are like new.
* New Quadrajet carburetor from National Carburetor. Runs like it should!
* 5 speed with creeper gear, NV4500. This is my favorite part of this truck.
* Toyota stock transfer case recently serviced. This has 4H and 4L. No leaks. 4 wheel drive works great, shifts easily. Manual locking hubs.
* FJ60 front axle custom with disk brakes. Front brakes serviced recently. Stock rear axle serviced recently. No lockers, but the venting is routed to the engine compartment.
* Power steering using a GM type power steering unit. Fabrication is very stout.
* Retractable shoulder belts installed using OEM mounting points and other aftermarket parts for safety.
* Custom heavy duty bumpers - winch mount and tow hitch receiver. Winch not included.
* Recent tune-up, replaced leaky freeze plug, coolant flush, new starter, radiator rebuilt.
* Replaced fuel filler neck with marine grade hi-pressure rubber tubing tubing re-inforced with wire. This was a big deal, watch out for leaky rubber fuel necks on these trucks. No leaks. This is flame proof!
* New-ish BFG 31x10.50x15" tires on steel aftermarket rims. Matching spare.
* Custom wood dash fabricated out of ipe hard wood. Really cool.
* New stock mirrors
* lots of extra parts: spare driver door (dented) front window glass, AND A NEW WINDSHIELD AND RUBBER ready to go!
* Exhaust redone 2009.
* Roof rack available too.
* Springs are stock with Add-a-leafs and shackles. Its stiff unloaded, feels normal with full cargo load.

The truck had threaded holes for shoulder belts hidden behind the headliner - do they all? - so that part was easy. I used anchor kits from Juliano's hot Rod Parts and conversion van belts from Wesco Performance. This is all attached using grade 8 bolts. I liked the conversion van belts for extra length. The front retractors are just anchored to the pillar using a b-pillar bracket from Juliano's bolted to the inside of the pillar, there's a little hole in the pillar to reach through. The rear retractors are routed like my old 4 runner, I hid them behind the cargo panel (which are wood so easy to carve out a channel). They are each bolted over the wheel well using 2 simpson ties bolted on either side of the sheet metal so each retractor is bolted to 3 layers of sheet metal (where they all intersect) and re-enforced by 2 simpson ties. You can sort of see it in the picture. These seat belts tighten on the lap, same as a lap belt, so even if the shoulder belt failed you wouldn't go flying.
