I read the threads on the cons of using the AA transfercase mount and i called them. They were very help and agreed to trade me for a 700r mount. I went to install it and i question if it is enough. It uses a standard gm mount, but it seems like it would allow the trans to twist alot. Has anyone had any problems using it.

if your using the one that bolts to the rear of transfer case and looks like a propeller that one is not very good buy the one they sell for the transmission

the transfercase has the poly, but the mount I have a question about is the transmission mount. It seems it will let the transmission and transfer case twist alot. If the transmission mount is strong enough i will roll with it.

the transmission mount is strong enough. the one that mounts on the back of the transfer case the studs work their way lose. it has to give a little so things wont break

i will install it and remove the one on the rear of the transfer case. would you suggest refabricating the cross member to go on top of the transfer case or leave under the transfer case

problem is when you have rubber mounts with poly. as you could tell poly doesnt move much. so when you have both one is twisting less/or more. so thats when you see crack bell housing/outputs

You actually have room to mount a crossmember on top of you transfer case?

got any pictures?

I've been going back and forth with fabricating crossmembers for a 700r4/split t-case setup I'm in the middle of, wouldn't mind seeing pictures of yours.

give me a day and my third and hopefully final crossmember will be in place.

thanks, i look forward to seeing it. What i was refering to was the AA 700r cross member. It goes under and fastens to the adaptor between the transmission and the transfer case. then it drop below the front output shaft on the transfer case. My thought was to reroute it above the output shaft of the transfer case to keep it from hanging so low. I will post pics later.
