Hi, has anyone converted a d4d from a Prado into mechanical pump? I have been a 73 series that did it in Norway and wanted to check which mechanical pump and injectors to use

If I remember correctly D4D is not an engine but rather a common rail injection system, available on a number of engines. Should be easy enough to look up though.Pretty sure the D4D engines were all commonrail diesels, so not really possible to just convert one to mechanical. They don't have an injection pump like other diesels.
It would still technically be possible with a lot of custom work, but you'll be much better off with an older engine with a 'normal' pump.Hi, has anyone converted a d4d from a Prado into mechanical pump? The KD Series are 'D4D' common rail engines.Thank you. True, it is not the d4d, but the kd engine. Indeed it won't be common-rail anymore
