I did some searching and did not come up with anything useful
I have a Landcruiser snorkel and would like to know how other integrated this into the airbox as the inlet is on the other side of 70s that did not come with the snorkel.
Did anyone just cut a new hole and cap off the old inlet?
Did you purchase the correct air filer housing and
Did you procure the part that connects the snorkel from the frame to the filter housing

Having trouble loading pictures. will add when home and not wasting time at work

I capped off the old inlet. A PPO installed the snorkel, so I cannot comment on that part. I caed off the old inlet with a bit from McMaster-Carr.

It appears that they used whatever was in the kit. The snorkel appears to be a generic knockoff of a Safari. I'll post a pic later this week. Truck is in the shop at the moment getting some maintenance work done.

I am interested as well. I just bought '88 LJ70 2LT and apparently the previous owner just wanted the snorkel for looks, or never put the connector back on after the latest safety inspection. So I am in need of ideas like you deepseacruiser.

Don't know if this helps but this is my setup on a HJ75.

Apologize to the OP for taking so long to post this. This is what my generic snorkel connection looks like on my LHD BJ73. It is clearly not OEM.

17911A from the above schematic is available in the US market and personally useful for a correctly functioning air intake system.

Part number: 52831-90K00

Gonna resurrect an old thread of mine. So I finally had everything I needed to do an OEM snorkel install....or so I thought. It looks like I have a snorkel for a different model? Or a knockoff? Not really sure. I have the correct airbox as well as the rubber adapter and steel mountain plate.

Pictures to follow

Is there a difference between the light duty and heavy duty Landcruiser snorkels? The light duty LC have a shorter bonnet.
