Bigger tyres are the usual route to lower rpms at hwy speeds. Its just cheaper and sooner or later you going to need new tyres.

Yeah already did that I am actually replacing the crown ring anyway so was looking for feedback on the 3.70 ratio
 
I ran 3.73's in my hdj79 because 3.70 isn't available in high pinion reverse cut 8" which 90' on 70 series have.
Oh, Nice did you see any difference in 5th gear on the RPM? Did you keep the front ratio stock?

Stock for me was 4.1 so was roughly a 10% drop from 2450rpm to about 2200rpm @ 100kph. Going to 33s dropped about another 100rpm or so.

I also changed the front. The 3.73 gearsets are considerably more expensive than the nitro 3.70 though.
