I have had this 40 for almost 7years. I was building it for my daughter and she has changed her mind... Imagine that. Anyway I have all the origanal parts that go to this 40. Idea was to get it running safe and after she graduated tear it apart and restore. With that said I have keeped it stock with exception of a few things to improve safety and easy for her to drive. As she is 14 I was taking mine time putting toghther. There are a lot of parts that need to be checked and put back on. Body is in great shape. Has a dent on drivers front fender ( very useable). The top is for a early 40 and PO made it fit. Doors are in Great shape with no rust. Have origanal ( to this 40) rear jump seats... In ok shape. Have number matching engine but it had a cracked head. I rebuilt a 73 engine for it with 2f valve cover (Marks off road advice... Works perfect) along with new radiator. I put a 4spd with 3spd transfer case and all new clutch pressure plate etc. I kept 3spd Trans for future. The column shift was stolen along with running boards ( in boxes) when I was bringing home after purchase. However vacuum parts for transfer case I still have. All new brakes along with pedals and mount from a 73 so I could add vacuum assit brakes.. Drum brakes. Inside....drivers seat needs covered, as it's origanal but passenger is original and in great shape. Dash pad has pretty bad cracks. I got a dash light kit from a member on here and really like it... But wished I would have kept original guages that all work in place. I kept all that stuff. Wipers need to be put back In along with wiper switch that was missing. No headliner or shift covers. Have all origanal wheels but no hubcaps. Also have a weber carb but put origanal carb back in and love it. Non us setup on carb with non us distributor with pertronix. Could go on forever.
