69' Pig gate on a 74'?

Hey anyone, will a tailgate from a 69' Pig work on my 74'? I have an opportunity to get a gate cheap, with waaaay less holes in it than mine. The only difference Ive seen in the pics is the chrome piece below the license plate. Maybe mine had it, but its gone now. I need to know also if the internals (glass, regulator, motor, etc.) are the same too. His gate has no guts. Thanks for any help. Hodag

I beleive that they are interchangeable. The licence plate lights are different (that's the chrome peice that you can see)!
Any front turn signals for a Pig out your way? I need two to get a Pig on the road again.

Should be the exact same in all respects. I think the chrome is the same also.

Chrome is different. The older '69 has a single licence plate light bar under the plate. The newer ones have a light fixture on each side of the licence plate.

Thanks for the help, Im gonna buy it. If the 69' plate light can be salvaged, Ill use it. Otherwise Ill fill the holes and put on my 74' side lights. Cant pass up the deal, its even the same color. Just gotta find the cheapest way from Boise to Omaha. Thanks, Hodag
