I am trying to get some brake lines made for my 68 and we cannot find the male side that goes into the block at the drum. It appears to be a 11mm-1.25. Does anyone know of an adapter to get this to 10mm or anything standard? If not, anyone have a good source for flex brake lines?

Thanks,

Yes, the lines are 9mm, however the female end that goes into the block at each of the front wheels and to the splitter at the vent on the rear axle is larger... the 11mm. I checked it against a 10 gauge, and it appears to be 1.25 thread.

Thanks,

We have the 9mm,10mm, and 11mm stuff, or conversion fittings where necessary. Best to PM me with your vehicle info, lengths required, etc. so I can determine what needs to be done!!!

FYI for all to know. Jim at Downey is the man to talk to about this problem. He was great to talk to and work out all the issues. He can have custom lines made to fit your rig.

His solution for my problem was to make a line that starts at the T block that is on the frame rail --- and goes all the way to the t block at the axle.

More FYI --

I was able to find a pair of replacement lines new in the box on ebay, and thought someone out there might like to know what model number line works. Again, these are impossible to find lines, so good luck.

The box I have is a Miyaco brand brake line model FC-31402

It also had a BAP red sticker on the end with a number 90947 02027

They are absolutely identical to stock lines.

I hope this helps someone someday.
