I just sold my 40 and ?? Another project?

Relax everyone:grinpimp:

Thanks and:beer::beer:

Pics of the rear quarters where the spray paint is hiding the rot would help also. Rear sill under the tailgate too?
Markup shouldn't be an issue on the 45 board, when I tried to buy rear quarters for the LV I sold, someone tried to sell me one of his 2 extra sets for a 200% markup. Understandable because everyone with an LV needs the rear quarters replaced, but not everyone needs an LV. But non running with as much rust as the pictures show go from $1000-$3500 on here. Less if someone is hurting for cash... E-bay will get better results if top dollar is what you want.
I find if I give everyone a good deal people are happy to do business with me, but there's always that one guy who wants a better deal and a bunch of stuff for free. On Mud you can't please everyone so worry about what you need and let people have their opinions cause like a$$holes everyone has one.:meh:

This is a great forum. 1tontoy, jsaltlick, landcrusher909...you guys are awesome.

I'm in the market for a 45LV, but not this one after how it was represented. On e-bay or in the open market, games are played every day where the seller tries to fool the buyer. But this forum is sacred ground and I've seen time and time again where the seller's first priority is to take care of the guy on the other end, his second priority is to keep these rigs on the road and his last priority is to make a fast buck.

I deeply respect those who conduct themselves in that manner and who have worked hard to create this awesome forum where HELPING one another is what it's all about.

With my 2F, H55 5 speed, discs and 3.73 rear end all ready and waiting, I'm anxious, but I'll keep looking for my LV...

Too bad. I might have been the buyer had this been played straight.

I don't understand how I have not been straight with you guys. I have tried to show all pics of everything that this rig needs. I'm an honest person with a rare vehicle. You guys are just being haters. Can someone please show me an lv forsale for less money in better condition?? Make me an offer I may take it.

No haters here... life is too short for that.

I think it started on the wrong foot with some hype about your LV to an audience that is very astute. With the right pictures, you really don't need to say much.

It ended with (in my opinion) the "dumb ass" comment. Way out of line and totally unwarranted.

You apologized, so water under the bridge. This thread should be more about your LV and less about you. If I drove it the wrong direction with my first comment, I apologize for that.

Like I said, life is short, so we should be talking about Land Cruisers...

spinneybent,

This is a tough market to pitch any cruiser to, and I understand your frustration.

Thing is, if there's a 45 out there, there is a REALLY good chance someone here on the board (or multiple people) already know about it.

LV's in my opinion never bring as much as people would like because they cater to a specific crowd. They are long, heavy, and not as desired as you might think, even being rare. But there's that crowd that loves them.

So, in short - if folks here know about an LV for sale for say 2500 bucks, and it pops up a month later in someone elses hands for double/triple the price in the same shape, we are all going to be saying, "WTH?"

There are lots of LV's out there, hidden in barns, etc... There is one in just as good of shape with the original F135 and a good 2F included right over there beyond lava hot springs in montpellier - near the shape of yours, for half the price.

You have a 2500.00 rig in my opinion. I'll leave it at that. Good on ya for trying to do business and I wish you the best. If the right guy is all hot about buying your particular cruiser - you'll sell it.

We are all friends here. I have been called all sorts of names and made fun of for asking stupid questions, but we all have a hand out for a shake at the end of the day - so don't take offense to folks on here, they are all good people whom share a love for the Cruiser.

I wish ya the best - but if you bought it for an investment, you bought it for the wrong reasons (in my stupid opinion) - but if you bought it to restore, learn, have fun with, and cherish. Well, you have come to the right place either way.

All the best,

-dmaddox

2 LV's just sold on eBay for stupid money. MUD is the last place to go if you want to sell it for a higher price but it's the best place if you just want it sold. I bet you'll get North of $5k for it on eBay. I really do hope you get some good cash for it as I am affectionately known as "The Flipper" in my local Land Cruiser club. Let's just consider my earlier comments as a part of the checks and balances involved here on MUD. Good luck and happy selling

Well you don't say........now that you guys beat the guy down maybe I can get it for cheeeeeeppppppp..''

Do unto others?.

I had a really great LV,and your uncle GREG bought it from me for I believe,$3500, I don't know you but I know your uncle, and he is a great guy, very fair, honest, reliable, and he sell his cruisers with very little markup,or profit,or margin.........
