spinneybent,
This is a tough market to pitch any cruiser to, and I understand your frustration.
Thing is, if there's a 45 out there, there is a REALLY good chance someone here on the board (or multiple people) already know about it.
LV's in my opinion never bring as much as people would like because they cater to a specific crowd. They are long, heavy, and not as desired as you might think, even being rare. But there's that crowd that loves them.
So, in short - if folks here know about an LV for sale for say 2500 bucks, and it pops up a month later in someone elses hands for double/triple the price in the same shape, we are all going to be saying, "WTH?"
There are lots of LV's out there, hidden in barns, etc... There is one in just as good of shape with the original F135 and a good 2F included right over there beyond lava hot springs in montpellier - near the shape of yours, for half the price.
You have a 2500.00 rig in my opinion. I'll leave it at that. Good on ya for trying to do business and I wish you the best. If the right guy is all hot about buying your particular cruiser - you'll sell it.
We are all friends here. I have been called all sorts of names and made fun of for asking stupid questions, but we all have a hand out for a shake at the end of the day - so don't take offense to folks on here, they are all good people whom share a love for the Cruiser.
I wish ya the best - but if you bought it for an investment, you bought it for the wrong reasons (in my stupid opinion) - but if you bought it to restore, learn, have fun with, and cherish. Well, you have come to the right place either way.
All the best,
-dmaddox
