Going through a 65 Parts Book for the 40 series and stumbled on this page for an optional Windshield Washer? Anyone know anything about these?

I don’t think the old wipers on a 45 work worth a darn anyway so I wouldn’t bother .
Dom,
Since you asked, I agree with John LITP. An option I'm planning for adding a washer and switch is using a new plastic tank with pump and bracket--either one from a gas or diesel Land Cruiser (try Roger City Racer)--mount it either up in the engine bay or down the slope side of a fender, and use a 84650-60062 or 84650-60020 one-speed wipe/wash switch that's used on the 1969-1975 split/hinged windshield 40-series. The switch can mount in it's usual spot in the dash, no separate pushbutton; it's push/pull on/off, and has the typical spring-loaded rotate-to-wash function. A variety of 40-series knobs can be used, but if wanting the period-correct knob off your rotary wiper switch, some fitting could be done. (Note: I personally would not do surgery on a good rotary wiper knob)
Agreed that a notched hole(s) needs drilled into the hood for the squirter(s), 2 of which could be placed to avoid the hood's center seam. Seems like a much better option than trying to hunt-down an obscure original set-up, which likely will be quite used, and you still have 40-series pieces in your set-up. Of course, purists will be offended by any alteration to your truck, no matter how very little obtrusive, and the debate always continues over "100% original" and "upgraded." YRMV, and this is just my 2 cents.
(new one-speed wipe/wash switches occasionally pop up for sale on Ebay from several sources in Venezuela)
