.....would luv to keep it close to us. Figured I'd let you guys know first.

It's only for sale because I won a new 60" Pioneer KURO plasma. Otherwise the model I had was Mitsi's best (next to their Diamond Series sold only at special dealers).

WD65732
1080p
DLP w'6-segment color wheel (best)
NetCommand control operates other brand components via included IR repeaters
Matching DVD player from Mitsi (not a Blu-Ray...an upconverting DVD model)

As a dealer and friend of the Mitsi rep's for 25-years I paid only $2249 instead of the dealer cost of $2800 (store cost was about $3499). This was 2.5 years ago. The pic is still excellent of course as it's a projector-based design. And because the model is projector-based one can restore the picture to 100% original quality by buying a new lamp ($149). The lamps typically last about 5-years.

I looked at current 65" DLP Mitsi models and it looks like they sell for about $1500.00. I'm going to eBay this sucker for $899 Buy-It-Now if I don't sell it locally first for $750.00. I have all the goodies...manual, remote, IR repeaters...it's like brand new which is how I keep all my stuff. If ya want it, let me know and bring the lean green. :D

Getting some more info for my eBay post. The latest version of my set is the WD65737.

Mitsubishi TV - 65" Home Theater TV: Model WD-65737

Mitsubishi - 65" 1080p 120Hz DLP HDTV - WD-65737

$1499 at Best Buy

WHOA...looking at the specs...they eliminated the NetCommand Control in order to lessen the cost. I'm going to check the Diamond model. Might be closer now to mine..........

My eBay price is going up! Yes, you need to go Diamond model to get NetCommand now. Looks like the WD65837 is a closer match to my set. The 837 has a couple of setting tweaks though I'd bet the image is nearly identical. Searching for cost.....$2199

Amazon.com: Mitsubishi WD-65837 65-Inch 1080p 120Hz Home Theater DLP HDTV: Electronics

I think my eBay Buy It Now price will now be $1075.

Howdy! And like how old is this setup, and is it due for a knuckle rebuild? John

:D

It's 2 1/3 yrs old.

Like new

Picture MIGHT be a tad dimmer than new which is normal as the lamps age. Down the road, a $149 lamp swap (user replaceable) puts the image back to 100% (the beauty of DLP technology).

No knuckles to rebuild thank god. Heck, and your huge rig can transport it!

Too bad I'm not in the market. But if I was, it's so big, I'd have to carry it on the roof rack, and then it would get all covered in bugs!! John

Just got back from Shelter Island. Been way to busy. Leave today for a 5-day national sales meeting. Next week.

Tell ya what Shotts, I may have a business need for this, though I read in the specs it doesn't take any *VGA analog input? (which would be optimal) I'll check to see if I can get a DVI output laptop and let you know as soon as possible. By when do you need to know?

What are the box dimensions?

It has a DVI input and I have a VGA-to-DVI adapter.

Aye, but DVI has two payloads DVI-D for digital and DVI-A for analog signal. DVI can thus carry a *VGA-style signal, but doesn't mean the screen must honor DVI-A and I can't seem to get that information from the specs.

Doesn't hurt the interest, just that I need to find a digital out laptop for presentations (which someone around here must have...).

Any idea if this can be wall mounted.. I'm on the run I 'll do some investigating when I get back.

interested

Nope I'll pass it on to some onw who is in the market
