It kills me to do this, but alas, the time has come.
I have a 1963 FJ40 project vehicle I need to part with. I picked it up in AZ, and brought it with me when I moved to SJ 3 years ago.
When bought, it was non op. It has a terrible GM V6 swap in it, and over the years, I have slowly been buying and swapping parts, in the hope of building a nice fun trail rig.
This comes with loads of parts, and will make a great project for someone.
Highlights:
Original Land Cruiser Bezel (Only came on 63, though it has two holes in it. Pics below)
It has the original Small rear view mirror that everyone is always after
Body is generally solid – It has a small cut in the firewall, easy repair for someone with a mig.
The only rust spot’s it has is on the rear sill about the size of two quarters and one in one of the rear swing gates. Otherwise the body is really solid!
Hard Top with the bi-fold door and the vented roof (One of the roof side panels has a dent in the curved section)
It has some later model doors on it, but also have the original doors (lower sections)
I have a pair of 70’s seats with frames (powder coated) with the headrests. The seats have brand new upholstery and new lower cushions from SOR. Also have a great back seat from a Toyota minivan. I like to keep it all Toyota!
A mint gas tank (picture below)
There is a 91 3FE engine included with new gaskets all round, and the full engine and dash harness, right down to the fuse boxes etc., and a 91 FJ80 Toyota service manual.
2 gauge clusters, one with VSS built in for 3FE conversion. All you need is flywheel, clutch and tranny and some wiring skills!
’76 FJ55 Disc brake front axle – rebuilt with new Japanese bearings and Marlin HD seals, new brake calipers (surface rust from sitting) etc. Ready to be thrown under the truck.
FJ60 rims
FJ60 bell housing and a brand new, still in box reduction starter motor
Loads of boxes of miscellaneous parts (Great for those swap meets and for the build!)
70’s roll bar with 3 point FJ40 seat belts.
I also have a drop tailgate with chains and all hardware needed for swap – The tailgate is not bad, but needs a little metal work in the usual spots.
I even have some original soft top body parts (body clamps, eyelets for the door safety ropes etc.)
I will even throw in a manual/air actuated cherry picker and an engine stand.
Arizona title on hand, ready to go!
