Kevin, since you made your skid plate for late model 60s, do you think it would work with a 62 that's had an H55 swapped in? At that point, it's pretty much a 60 underneath (with the exception of the mounts from the A440 crossmember unless I remove them) since the H55 from the bottom is the same as a late H42 with the spacer. I'd like to get some armor under my 62 once I get the swap accomplished.

It would fit as long as the transmission support had been relocated to match the new transmission.
The difference would be that my plate mounts directly to factory holes in the frame and I don't know if they are there on the 62 frame. The old transmission mounts would not be in the way and ideally that could be used as a great place to mount.

I just can't believe there is not a solution for 60/62 skid plates out there.
It's a heavier fab project than I am set up for but I really need to figure out a good solution for this.
I still think that it's the kind of thing best suited for a good local fab shop, that way they can accommodate for any custom exhaust stuff (cats on the 62) and driveline changes, but there really needs to be a bolt-on setup available.
