Shipwreckz said:First pic is of the car before it was stolen after the January 25 Revolution here in Egypt. Second pic is of the car after I recovered it from the thieves (bought it back) after it had been stripped and the engine destroyed. Have to start building the car back up again for desert runs. In the 2nd pic the car has had the engine completely rebuilt, interior redone, and new paint.

5. Replace Gas Engine/Automatic tranny with a 2HD with 5-speed manual gearbox
Roof rack and sand mats, Warn M6000 winch, 31-inch tires, 3rd battery for auxiliaries, suspension upgrades throughout, 2nd 90-liter fuel tank, fog lights (models come-and-go as they break and are replaced), double insulation under floor carpets, and remote center-lock system.
6. Roads in most towns in Egypt are so bad one needs a 4X4. And then there is the desert and mountains filled with Roman and Pharonic remains.
Oops. Rookie what can I say.

Thanks. But to be honest, I didn't do the swap. Too much on the go right now. Semi-retired father offered to do the job, so that's how it went. Dropped off the FJ60 last winter to their place in the Kootenays, then the BJ60 later on. Hadn't seen the progress on it before I was looking at yours last month (which is a very nice diesel conversion BTW, was hoping to see it at the cruiser days show in Mission). Anyways, still have some work to do: get the AC working, lift, maybe rear locker, some kind of bed in the back, etc.
